Job Summary
Set up, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot semi-automated and autofill machines while monitoring raw material flow. Pack, set up, and operate labeling equipment, performing minor repairs as needed. Inspect finished goods to ensure quality and safety metrics are met, fixing shift issues by checking output and escalating machine-related flaws. Maintain accurate records of approved and defective units, perform data entry in SAP and Kronos, and use powered industrial trucks to move materials. Collaborate to ensure raw materials and components are available to meet production plans and customer demands. This 10-hour shift runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Driver's License
- SST Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1 year of related experience or training
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English at a minimum of 6th grade level
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practice by promoting a safe work environment
- Ability to operate pallet jack
- Ability to access and execute virtual transactions on the company tablet/computer
- Ability to follow both written and oral instructions, including safety guidelines, work instructions, and company policies
- Domestic and international travel up to 5% of the time
- Full-time position in West Chicago, IL
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of cartridge filling equipment, material drum presses and pumps, and shrink wrap equipment
