Job Summary
Support a PLC-controlled 120-wide tandem flexible PVC extrusion coating line by managing setup, operation, breakdown, and cleaning while developing processing parameters to optimize line speeds and yields. Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and ensure proper quality review of products at assigned workstations. Adhere to all company policies, including environmental standards, and notify supervisors of any concerns affecting the work area or property. Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned and maintain the ability to lift 50 pounds. Work the M, T, W, and every other Wednesday shift from 6am to 6pm with availability to cover any shift upon prior notification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and write English
- Good verbal communications skills
- Understanding of how to use a touch-screen (PLC) production line
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability and willingness to work overtime if required
- Availability and willingness to cover any shift with prior notification
- Safe operation of forklifts to transport materials to workstations
- Ensure proper quality review of the product on workstations assigned
- Follow all company policies, including environmental policy and notify supervisor of any concern that may affect work area or company property
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with plastics, vinyl coating, lamination or printing production highly desirable
