Job Summary
Operate industrial saws, routers, nailers, and conveying equipment to cut, machine, and assemble lumber into wood reels for wire and cable packaging. Monitor product quality, make incremental process adjustments, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Troubleshoot problems, read manufacturing instructions, and assist other departments as needed while adhering to quality and safety policies. Work a second shift (2p-10p) Monday through Friday in a non-temperature controlled environment with heavy noise and sawdust. Requires minimum one year of machine operating experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and standing for eight hours.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year of machine operating experience in an industrial environment
- Extensive knowledge of personal hand tools and use them safely to operate, adjust, and maintain production equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
- Ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment
- Being reliable, committed, and quality-focused
