Job Summary
Operate, monitor, and maintain beverage filling and packaging equipment while ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, food safety requirements, and production targets. Adhere to Health and Safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, and GMPs by wearing required PPE and inspecting products for quality defects such as underfilled containers, coding errors, and packaging integrity issues. Perform equipment changeovers efficiently, verify machine settings before production, and accurately complete all production and downtime documentation. Maintain a clean work area, communicate operational concerns via radios, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This seasonal role reports to the Production Supervisor and offers a pathway to the Production Lead Hand position for those who demonstrate proficiency and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced food or beverage manufacturing and packaging environment
- beverage production experience
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of beverage production equipment, including depalletizers, fillers, labelers, carton packers, case packers, palletizers, coders, pallet jacks, conveyors, and lifting devices
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and safely in a high-volume production environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and remain productive under pressure while meeting production targets
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS, sanitation, and food safety practices
- Forklift experience or certification
