Job Summary
Set up, operate, and monitor high-speed printing and manufacturing equipment while leading the machine crew to meet daily production, quality, and safety goals. Read production specifications, make adjustments to maintain quality and speed, and perform routine cleaning, inspection, and preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, inspect finished products, maintain accurate production records, and keep the work area clean following 5S standards. Full-time Monday-Friday shifts available from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM with pay ranging from $19.00 to $23.00 per hour. 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred, with a focus on developing dependable, mechanically inclined individuals within Viking Packaging's family-run business.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic math skills, including the ability to accurately measure to 1/16 of an inch
- Ability to read production specifications and work instructions
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Previous experience operating high-speed manufacturing or printing equipment is preferred
- Experience leading a machine crew or production team is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with printing inks, PMS colors, or GCMI color standards is preferred
