Job Summary
Operate tube cut-off machines to cut tubing to proper dimensions and tolerances while measuring parts to verify accuracy against specifications. Use schedules, prints, and tech standards to ensure all components meet company and customer requirements. Perform general housekeeping and equipment maintenance, and complete extra assignments as needed within the work area. Maintain regular, consistent attendance while adhering to safety protocols in a loud environment with occasional exposure to fumes, vibration, and extreme heat.
Required Qualifications
- Strong commitment to quality and working safely.
- Ability to read various measuring devices (e.g., measuring tape, caliper, micrometer, etc.).
- Ability to work independently or as a team with minimal supervision.
- Proficient use of math skills.
- Ability to read and understand various paperwork (i.e., blueprints, manufacturing orders, schedules, etc.).
- High school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to frequently stoop/bend.
- Must be able to regularly use hands and arms.
- Must be able to regularly stand and walk.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of equipment.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds of equipment with assist available.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
- Specific hearing abilities required for this job include the ability to hear equipment alarms and the ability to hear instructions from others.
- Steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection required where posted.
