Job Summary
Operate and maintain packaging machines, including coders, printers, conveyors, gluers, and box tapers, while performing schedule maintenance and repairs. Manage inventory of roasted coffee and finished products, ensuring error-free filling and weighing for delivery or shipment. Execute cleaning of production areas, operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and create package labels and prepare pallets. Log production data accurately and maintain food safety program compliance. Collaborate within a fast-paced environment to support the Production Leadership team.
Required Qualifications
- demonstrated ability to operate and maintain production packaging machines in a safe, hygienic manner
- Perform repairs and schedule maintenance
- Stocks and maintains production par levels of finished coffee products and filling on-demand coffee orders
- Responsible for upkeep of production logs and other documents related to the organization's food safety program
- Ordering and managing inventory of roasted coffee for daily production packaging needs
- Operating and maintaining packaging machine/s
- Maintaining adequate inventory of finished products
- Error-free filling of coffee orders
- Packaging and weighing same for delivery, or shipment
- Repairing and performing schedule maintenance on packaging machine/s including coders/printers, conveyors, gluer and box tapers
- Cleaning of production area and surrounding area and grounds
- Operating other production equipment, including, but not limited bag filler, grinder, scales, loader, forklift, scissors lift and pallet jack
- Logging production logs in system accurately
- Knowledge of and compliance with the company's food safety program
- Maintaining (and communicating the needs for) adequate packaging materials and other supplies necessary for packaging
- Creating package labels
- Preparing and wrapping pallets
- Focused ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment through time management and attention to detail
- Using active listening and open communication skills, must be able to collaborate and take direction from the supervisor
- Ability to effectively communicate and work well with other employees, visitors, customers, and service providers
- Basic knowledge of spelling, mathematics, weights, and measurements

- Basic computer skills, including creation and maintenance of spreadsheets
- Ability to drive a forklift

Desired Qualifications
- Forklift certification preferred
- Experience using Viking or ActionPac weigh & fill machines, GIMA, or Matrix machines strongly preferred
