Job Summary
Monitor packaging equipment, fill feeders, and perform quality checks on packaging according to product specifications. Observe safety regulations and GMP standards while maintaining efficient production flow. Responsibilities include obtaining a work schedule from the supervisor, walking the line, preparing for operations, keeping line supplies (film, glue bins, carton magazines) stocked, wiring the line with appropriate materials, limiting downtime by reporting equipment issues to maintenance, and coordinating with crew leaders, supervisors, and maintenance to ensure orders are completed successfully.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating packaging equipment preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English
- Ability to lift and move items weighing 25-50 lbs
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Pre-operation checklist completion
- Monitor line speed and controls per product specifications
- Report equipment problems to maintenance
