Machine Operator

Machine Operator within the Semi Finished team responsible for setting and operating Beam, Panel, Band & Upcut Saws, Thicknessers and Centreless Grinders to ensure efficient production of Semi-Finished goods. Responsibilities include setting and operating saws, contributing to KPI targets, applying company processes to achieve right-first-time quality, completing reporting and quality checks, performing daily safety checks, and educating/mentoring new team members to maximize efficiencies. Requires reliable, hands-on approach, ability to work in a team, good attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward learning and continuous improvement. Proficiency in English, Maths, and IT; ability to self-manage and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines; strong communication skills; experience with woodworking machinery is desirable.
