Job Summary
Machine Operator role at Nippon Light Metal Georgia in Adairsville, GA. Responsibilities include setting up and operating assigned machines to prepare automobile parts; conducting visual inspections before and during shifts; following the production schedule; ensuring quality per procedures; monitoring equipment operation; notifying supervisor/maintenance of issues; assisting with troubleshooting; and maintaining a safe, clean work environment while operating tools such as band saw, drill press, lathe, and tensile tester. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Familiarity with Lock-out/tag-out procedures preferred
- Learn quickly and pay attention to details
- Prioritize, schedule and review work
- Able to understand, follow and communicate in oral and written instructions
- Work independently with little direction
- Meet schedules and timelines
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships
