Job Summary
Operate production machines including lathes, mills, drills, saws, and welders while reading blueprints and setting up fixtures. Monitor machine performance, perform mechanical assembly with hand and air tools, and conduct quality checks using measuring instruments. Maintain equipment to prevent downtime, troubleshoot issues, and update production records in SAP. Work in a manufacturing environment handling items up to 60 pounds with a variable schedule of 8-12 hours daily, including Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 18 to 36 months of directly related experience
- Experience in welding or mechanical repair
- Higher degree of skill/knowledge in machining or fabrication than just basic skills
- Basic experience using mechanical repair and assembly tools
- Knowledge of SAP
- Appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills
- Ability to understand written instructions
- Ability to maintain production records
- Ability to calculate sums, differences, and fractions
- Ability to move from process to process with little to no supervision
- Ability to regularly handle items weighing in excess of 60 pounds from floor to knuckle
- Ability to regularly pull or push items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to regularly lift items up to 35 pounds from knuckle to shoulder
- Ability to regularly lift items up to 25 pounds from shoulder to overhead
- Expectation to work at least 50% of the Saturdays worked (ET)
- Availability for a variable work schedule ranging from 8-12 hours daily
- Availability for some scheduled work on Saturdays
- Availability for weekend shifts
