Job Summary
Review ingredients, combine materials in mixers, and monitor quality standards to maintain correct recipe specifications. Report foreign objects, defective materials, and tool issues to the Supervisor. Perform raw material inventory counts, maintain clean work areas, and document FDA HACCP results including magnet cleaning and downtime. Rotate into other production areas as needed and collaborate with co-workers throughout the manufacturing cycle. Operate within OSHA Lockout/Tagout requirements and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and allergen management best practices. Work weekend and weekday shifts with a focus on safety, quality, and hygiene in a noisy, dusty environment.
Required Qualifications
- Able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach
- Occasionally ascend/descend stairs
- Occasionally move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Constantly operate within a manufacturing product environment - daily exposure to noise, dust and variation in temperature (hot/cold)
- Operate with a focus on safety and quality, while maintaining a sanitary work environment
- Comply with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Lockout/Tagout requirements for hazardous energy sources
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards
- Adhere to FDA HACCP guidelines
- Adhere to Allergen Management best practices for food manufacturers
- Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and code of conduct
