Job Summary
Operates machines to produce labels and flexible packaging; monitors print and seam quality; removes defective material and splices roll web per specification; uses ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing; handles rolls and pallets to avoid damage; understands basic printing and seam defects; achieves defined job objectives for planning and execution; assists in external make-ready before changeover and external clean-up after; cleans ink pans and ancillary equipment; strips plates from cylinders; locates dies to/from press; may work with press operator to view labels with a strobe light; adheres to customer quality specs and completes QA documentation; may perform overtime as needed; records data in designated paperwork and company system (Globetek); participates in special projects; performs other duties as assigned; requires ability to add/subtract/multiply/divide for label counts, read a ruler and measurements, and pass vision and color tests; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; strong teamwork and communication; training in printing/packaging environment preferred but not required; remote option: in-person at Scottsburg, IN.
