Job Summary
Read work instructions and operate overhead cranes, forklifts, bar saws, shears, thread rolling/cutting machines, and hydraulic benders. Inspect product per requirements, perform machine setups and basic maintenance, and work as part of a team in the hot dip galvanizing area loading and unloading baskets, processing product through chemical tanks, and verifying quality. Requires ability to read work orders, use hand tools and measuring equipment, lift 35+ lbs repeatedly, and stand for long periods. High school diploma or GED required. Portland Bolt manufactures large bolts and fasteners for construction projects worldwide, including high-rise buildings, bridges, and stadiums.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read work orders and drawings
- Ability to use hand tools and drills
- Ability to lift 35+lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to use hand measuring equipment (i.e., calipers, ruler, go/no go gauges)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Hand-eye coordination
- High school diploma or GED
