Job Summary
Operate a Semiautomatic production line (Box Former/Box Closer/Case Packer) on a 7am-7pm shift, providing proactive safety and quality leadership, performing changeovers, quality inspections, machine cleaning, and prompt troubleshooting. Maintain line flow and achieve standard hourly production; support Autonomous Maintenance (AM), 5S, Quality Checks, and Line Release Audit; collaborate with maintenance and engineering, communicate effectively, and adhere to LEGO values. Requires 1-2 years of machine operator experience, technical/mechanics education, ability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort with 2-2-3 scheduling and overtime; experience with high-speed cardboard processing lines and relevant equipment (Syntegon box former/closer/case packer) is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Technical education in Mechanics
- 1-2 years of experience as a machine operator, preferably with box former/box closer and case packer machines, and high-speed production lines
- Experience with cardboard processing machinery preferred
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good math skills, including the ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals
- Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Experience with computers in a manufacturing setting (Easy HMI, electronic settings)
- Experience with minor mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
- Ability to lift/pull/push 50 lbs. up to 50% of shift
- Ability to stand/walk/bend/twist for prolonged periods up to 12 hours/day
- Maintenance experience
- Experience with Syntegon box former/closer/case packer machines preferred
