Job Summary
Machine Operator position at Mason, MI plant. Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products, including operating the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include quality assurance of ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging; record and document all feed manufactured during shift; assist with production scheduling and inventory planning; equipment maintenance and repair; load/unload trucks; maintain safety and follow cGMP/OSHA/HACCP/FSMA policies; perform general facility duties; collaborate in a fast-paced production environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 plus years of manufacturing experience
- Farming background a plus
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good communication, verbal, written and math skills
- Ability to work as a team member
- Thorough understanding of cGMP’s
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA
- Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. from floor to working height as job requires
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
