MACHINE OPERATOR

Job Summary
Machine Operator operates and maintains feed production equipment, performs quality control and ingredient handling (receiving, load-out, and bagging), and ensures safety and regulatory compliance (cGMP, HACCP, FSMA). Responsible for recording production, assisting with production scheduling and inventory control, and supporting equipment maintenance. Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs, operate a forklift, and work on 2nd shift (1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.) at the Logansport, IN plant; includes teamwork, customer service, and adherence to safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 plus years of manufacturing experience
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good communication, verbal, written and math skills
- Able to communicate with customers and co-workers
- Ability to work as a team member
- Thorough understanding of cGMPs
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA
- Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs.
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
