Job Summary
Monitor sterilization systems and related equipment by observing pressure, temperature, and humidity readings through computer systems and control charts. Operate equipment by adjusting valves and controls to ensure safe and efficient processing. Observe sterilizers and auxiliary equipment to identify potential malfunctions and assist with repairs as needed. Accurately record and document process readings and operational data. Report damaged product to the Shift Supervisor or Process Supervisor. Communicate equipment or system issues to Maintenance personnel for timely resolution. Perform routine daily and weekly preventative maintenance tasks and assist the Maintenance team as needed. Handle, store, and remove processing chemicals in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations. Follow all company safety policies and participate in plant safety initiatives and committees. Provide guidance and oversight to Process Assistant Operators. Assist with additional operational duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Forklift experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending, lifting, and standing throughout the shift
- Willingness to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a sterilization, manufacturing, production, or industrial environment
- Basic computer skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
