Job Summary
Operate a complex multi-stage electro forge welding line to process and weld steel coils into bar grating panels. Provide input to supervision regarding machine performance, throughput, and maintenance issues while determining optimum settings for maximum output. Perform quality checks on welds and dimensional accuracy, making adjustments to correct defects. Collaborate with a team to maximize production and complete weekly maintenance on the mat welder. Work Monday through Friday from 3:30pm to 11:30pm. At IKG, the leading manufacturer of safety flooring in the US and Mexico, this role supports engineering applications for industrial walkways and access systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 5 years of experience in a world-class manufacturing environment
- Ability to use and understand basic measurement tools
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Safety mindset
- Ability to proactively identify potential safety issues
- Ability to collaborate with a team
- Ability to perform quality checks on welds
- Ability to ensure dimensional accuracy of grating panels
