Job Summary
Machine Operator II – Glass role focused on fabricating assemblies/parts for glass products per engineering documents and BOMs. Responsibilities include operating glass-automated equipment to assemble custom cut-to-size packs, setting up fixtures, laying out work, selecting set-up changes via PLC software, performing quality checks throughout production, troubleshooting equipment via PLC alarms, conducting basic preventative maintenance, and supporting cross-training and glass assembly staff. Requires high school diploma/GED and 1+ years of production machine operator experience; expects ability to read tapes, understand fractions/decimals, basic math, PC skills, and strong communication. Emphasizes safety, 6S adherence, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced glass manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of production machine operator experience
- Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals
- Basic reading/writing skills
- Basic PC skills
- Basic math skills
- Experience in Glass manufacturing environment
- Good communication skills
- Team oriented and adaptable to change
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions
- Understanding of 6S principles
