Job Summary
Independently operate multiple pieces of production and packaging equipment, performing changeovers and line setups with minimal supervision. Conduct quality inspections, troubleshoot routine issues, and execute approved adjustments while monitoring performance to identify efficiency improvements. Accurately complete production, quality, and inventory documentation, assist in training new operators, and coordinate with Maintenance and Quality teams to resolve issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety procedures and operating standards. Work across the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing setting supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year of manufacturing, production, packaging, or machine operation experience
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to independently operate and monitor production equipment
- Experience performing product changeovers and line setups
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to identify and resolve routine equipment issues
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to train and support less experienced operators
- Basic computer proficiency, including production and inventory systems
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Must be able to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see and use repetitive motions
- Must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds of material, boxes, etc
- Must have close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material
- Must have the ability to focus
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency operating automated production equipment preferred
