Job Summary
Machine Operator I on the Weekend Shift programs, sets up, and operates CNC equipment (laser, plasma, shear, rolling, press brakes, milling centers). Reads drawings to ensure parts are produced within tolerance, uses calipers, protractors, tape measures, and other measuring tools, and troubleshoots/maintains equipment. Responsible for handling material up to 10,000 lbs with lifting devices (vac lift, overhead, gantry, jib cranes), maintains safety and quality standards, and supports production priorities during the weekend shift.
Required Qualifications
- Six (6) months of applicable position experience or an evaluated equivalent
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read drawings and use measuring tools (calipers, protractors, tape measures)
- Operational knowledge of CNC cutting machines, press brakes, drills, and saws
