Machine Operator I - Packaging - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Perform accurate set ups on packaging equipment and operate machinery while adjusting settings to meet quality specifications. Inspect and test packages, document results, and stage materials for quick changeovers. Maintain a clean works area and complete all required documentation. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and safety policies while handling small tools and lifting up to 40 lbs unassisted. Work Monday through Friday on the 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with availability for overtime and weekends. Must be 18 years of age with sufficient math skills and knowledge of HACCP.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be knowledgeable in GMPs and the HACCP program or willing to learn
- Sufficient math skills to calculate quantities of material required for orders being run
- Good organizational and communication skills in order to prioritize work and communicate changes to line workers
- Must have the ability to handle small tools
- Must have the ability to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
- Ability to stand up to 80% of the time scheduled
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. unassisted and 40-75 lbs. assisted
- Must be able to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, as well as across shifts
- Must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to read and write in English preferred
