Job Summary
Machine Operator I operates and assists in setup of packaging machinery including form-fill, hopper feed, automated scales, metal detectors, and label applicators. Responsibilities include maintaining production logs, monitoring quality throughout the packaging process, adhering to FDA regulations, SQF and GMP standards, and reporting food safety/quality concerns. Requires basic math, effective verbal/written communication, ability to work independently and in a team, and familiarity with hand tools, RF scanning, and understanding operational and safety information in English. Prior forklift/operator experience in food manufacturing is preferred. Work environment is a food manufacturing setting with potential allergens; physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Required Qualifications
