Job Summary
Machine Operator I set up and operate fabrication machines (CNC routers, die cutters, hot wire cutters, slitters, laminators) to manufacture foam parts. Responsibilities include loading materials, aligning and feeding, monitoring for spec-compliance, performing quality checks, recording production data, interpreting blueprints and work instructions, following safety rules and PPE requirements, maintaining clean workstations, and assisting with material handling and related duties. Requires High School diploma or equivalent; experience in foam fabrication or manufacturing is a plus; strong attention to detail and teamwork orientation; English reading proficiency; bilingual ability is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior machine operation experience in a manufacturing or foam fabrication environment is a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine functions.
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and blueprints.
- Comfortable using measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, or gauges.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Must be able to read and understand work instructions, safety rules, and machine settings in English.
- Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish) is a plus for effective communication on a diverse team.
