Job Summary
Select, install, and adjust saw blades, cutter heads, boring bits, and other devices in primary and secondary millwork machines. Read and interpret drawings, cut lists, and schematics to verify machine settings and materials match component specifications. Start machines, perform trial cuts, and verify part dimensions for adherence to specs while operating the computer system and machine programming. Produce cabinets, doors, trim, tables, specialty fixtures, and more from wood and laminates. Monday through Friday schedule with some Saturdays and overtime as needed. Starting pay is $15 to $17 per hour based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months to 3 years of experience operating machinery
- Detail-oriented
- Safety-focused
- Ability to operate and set up both primary and secondary millwork machines independently
- Ability to select, install, and adjust saw blades, cutter heads, boring bits, and other devices in respective machines
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, cut lists, schematics to verify machine settings and materials match component specifications
- Ability to start machine and make trial cut
- Ability to verify dimensions of parts for adherence to specifications
- Ability to operate computer system and machine programming
- Some Saturdays and overtime as needed
