Job Summary
Set up and operate surface grinding machines to shape and finish metal parts, adjusting settings and wheels for correct size and smooth finish. Read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to produce quality components from steel, carbide, and specialty materials. Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools to ensure accuracy while following quality control, workplace safety, and production standards. Report to the Production Supervisor within the Cutting Tools team. 1st shift Monday–Friday with overtime available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to undergo a background check and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of manufacturing experience
- previous machinist or tooling experience
- Strong shop math capabilities to calculate dimensions & tolerance
- Familiarity with reading Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other documents
- Self-motivated problem solver
- Keen eye for precision
