Job Summary
Set up and operate grinders, presses, extruders, and cutters to process materials and remove excess product to specifications. Perform in-process inspections using calipers and gauges, adjust machine settings, replace tooling, and report malfunctions. Complete production logs and documentation while maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Follow safety protocols and assist with general production duties as needed. Schedule includes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts with potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2+ years operating machinery
- Machine operation specifically in the food industrial sector
- Familiarity with grinding, deburring, or machining processes
- Basic knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Ability to follow written instructions and production standards
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and safety
- Willingness to work 2nd shift and potential overtime as required
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise and physical activity
