Job Summary
Operate production machinery in a foundry environment to produce cast metal components for the commercial vehicle industry. Monitor machine performance, load/unload materials, perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality, follow work instructions and safety guidelines, and record production data. Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and basic preventative maintenance while maintaining a clean 5S workspace. Identify and report malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards; collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- Previous manufacturing, machine operation, foundry, casting, or production experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial equipment safely
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus
