Job Summary
Operate production equipment following established processing, quality, safety, and housekeeping procedures while planning workflow for efficient operations. Perform on-line process quality testing and assist maintenance in troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Function as a team member interfacing with other departments to resolve operating issues or improve process quality and efficiency. Comply with all production-related Quality Manual Procedures through classroom and on-the-job training. Requires high school diploma, ability to read technical vocabulary, and apply rules to symbolic systems. Shifts include 1st (6:45am–3:00pm), 2nd (2:45pm–11:00pm), and 3rd (10:45pm–7:00am) with premiums for night work. Starting wage $29.26 per hour increasing to $31.96 in the first year.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic operations involving the use of decimals and fractions
- Comprehend more common vocabulary
- Ability to recognize specific symbols
- Comprehend common technical vocabulary and complex verbal concepts
- Understand complex written meaning
- Ability to read calibrated scales, apply rules to symbolic systems, generate and/or apply rules systematically, and use short-term memory
