Job Summary
Prepare and operate automatic press machines to process high-quality rubber products. Load hot molds, remove parts, inspect finished goods, and clean molds and equipment. Ensure all production materials are available and record time and temperature data. Change molds as necessary and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor. Operate a forklift and follow safe work practices while effectively running one line with multiple presses. This entry-level role in Lampasas, TX, requires basic math skills, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and a willingness to work overtime and in temperatures over 100 degrees. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in prolonged standing and bending.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures
- Effectively run one line with multiple presses
- Will be required to work overtime if needed to continue production on any shift
- Basic comprehension of written and verbal communication skills
- Basic mathematical skills (addition/subtraction, multiplication/division)
- Ability to follow safe work practices
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Heavy to moderate physical effort may be required for the following: Prolonged standing, reaching, bending stooping, pushing, pulling and climbing
- Regular lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in temperatures over 100 degrees
