Job Summary
Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust production machinery for manufacturing building products, wood doors, and related components. Read blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications to configure machine settings for accurate cutting, drilling, and fabrication. Perform in-process and final quality inspections to verify measurements against engineering drawings, reporting defects promptly. Conduct routine equipment maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting minor issues while maintaining a clean, safe work area. Prepare raw materials and finished products for transfer, operate material handling equipment, and support inventory accuracy. Follow OSHA regulations, participate in safety meetings, and assist with equipment changeovers to meet daily production schedules and department goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift, push, pull and move materials weighing up to 125 pounds regularly with assistance or proper equipment when needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Ability to work overtime or extended hours based on production schedules and business needs
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of previous experience operating manufacturing, machining, woodworking, fabrication, or production equipment
- Experience with door machining equipment, saws, routers, drills, or similar production machinery
- Mechanical troubleshooting or repair experience
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Experience in millwork, woodworking, door manufacturing, trim carpentry, or related manufacturing environments
