Job Summary
Run alkalization and grinding systems, preparing and loading chemical mixtures while monitoring process checks to ensure quality and operational standards. Pump completed product into designated storage tanks and perform regularly scheduled cleaning to maintain proper flow. Maintain detailed documentation of chemicals, quantities, and run times for traceability, reporting any defective materials or non-conformities immediately. Ensure critical control point compliance with FDA HACCP guidelines, OSHA Lockout/Tagout requirements, and allergen management best practices. Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly, rotating into other production areas as resources are needed. Operate within a manufacturing environment involving prolonged standing or sitting, noise, dust, and temperature variations while adhering to safety gear and uniform requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods of time
- Able to set up, adjust and operate machinery
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach
- Able to observe and detect issues
- Occasionally ascend/descend stairs
- Occasionally move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
- Constantly operate within a manufacturing product environment - daily exposure to noise, dust and variation in temperature (hot/cold)
- Operate with a focus on safety and quality, while maintaining a sanitary work environment
- Comply with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Lockout/Tagout requirements for hazardous energy sources
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards
- Adhere to FDA HACCP guidelines
- Adhere to Allergen Management best practices for food manufacturers
- Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and code of conduct
