Job Summary
Operate and oversee automated production machines on aluminum can packaging lines in Crown Beverage Division. Responsibilities include tending one or more production machines, maintaining machine operation and guarding/safety devices, inspecting cans to customer specifications, performing basic machine maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, minor repairs), handling materials and possibly loading/unloading, assisting with mechanical repairs under supervision, operating a forklift for materials handling, and completing required paperwork such as SPC charts and logbook entries. Also responsible for housekeeping of the work area and supporting break relief, defect sorting, and other duties as assigned to ensure high-quality can production.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating or supervising automated production lines in manufacturing
- Ability to read and follow customer specifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude and maintenance skills
- Ability to operate forklift and perform material handling
- Willingness to perform housekeeping and participate in safety programs
