Job Summary
Operate a CNC machine for glass and interpret sketches to fabricate quality ground or polished edges. Track, locate, and record CNC production on schedules provided by the Lead person. Communicate production demands with operators on each shift, read schedules to understand edger demands, and perform routine maintenance on machines. Complete daily work sheets and forms while using an overhead crane and vacuum lift. Maintain regular attendance and adhere to all safety policies and procedures. This 2nd shift role runs Sunday-Thursday from 4pm to 2:30am.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read and understand sketches and interpret their meaning onto glass edges
- Must be able to read schedules and understand edger's production demands based on information schedules
- Operate a grinder to fabricate a quality ground or polished edge
- Operate overhead crane and vacuum lift
- Perform routine maintenance on machines
- Complete daily work sheets and forms
- Regular and predictable attendance
- safely performing tasks
- adherence to all safety policies and procedures
- Basic computer familiarity
- Read and use a tape measure
- Read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalency
