Job Summary
Configure CNC machines by entering instructions, setting tool registers, and loading workpieces. Verify settings through measurement of first-run parts and samples, then maintain specifications by detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes. Perform quality control procedures, execute basic maintenance, and complete miscellaneous projects as requested by management. Shifts run Sunday through Tuesday from 5:45 am to 6:15 pm. This full-time role in Chanhassen, MN, supports a 1,000-person employee-owned visual merchandising company that delivers world-class products to leading retail brands using sustainable materials.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- two-year Technical or Trade School diploma
- three years of experience in a CNC role
- worked in a manufacturing environment for 2-5 years
- worked in a fast-paced mid-size company
- the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- possess a thorough and organized approach to your work
- pay close attention to details on every project
- have basic computer skills, including Pace and Google Suite
- be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
- plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your work
- complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
- apply effective time management and self-management skills
- understand and maintain the confidential nature of company, employee and customer information
- be flexible to change
- able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills including, demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization
