Job Summary
Operate a zone of forming machines at standard levels while troubleshooting and correcting machine-related problems through proper adjustments. Perform minor repairs, daily and weekly maintenance, and conduct quality checks to ensure cartons meet specifications. Assist operators with complex troubleshooting, communicate shift handover details, and execute purge procedures when changing products. Complete end-of-shift paperwork, enter production data, and maintain a clean work area following LOTO procedures. Covers breaks for feeders and packers and supplies necessary corrugate and bags. Requires 2 years of related experience and ability to work in a noisy environment with moving mechanical parts.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years related experience
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision
- Positive work attitude and willingness to cooperate
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision
- Ability to distinguish shades and colors
- Ability to climb, stoop, bend and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to talk and hear to communicate with crew members
- Ability to handle or feel objects, tools and controls
- Ability to push or pull with hands or arms
- Ability to kneel or crouch
- Ability to work with dust from paper converting process
- Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
- Ability to work near lift trucks
- Must be able to stand and walk
- Must be able to follow LOTO and alternative LOTO procedures
