Job Summary
Machine Operator needed for on-site Salem, VA production team within Medeco Security Locks. You will operate machines for keys, parts and assemblies, manage manual and automated machining equipment, collaborate with Team Lead and Area Manager to align with work orders and production schedules, meet quality standards and delivery targets, participate in team meetings to improve performance and safety, and handle overtime as required. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to operate a machine, basic troubleshooting, math and basic computer skills, mobility to move between areas, ability to lift 40 pounds, and strong teamwork and communication.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to physically operate a machine
- Ability to perform basic machine troubleshooting
- Basic math skills, high school graduate or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Must be mobile to move from one work area to another and lift 40 pounds
- Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills
- Operate machines for Keys - parts and assemblies
- Operate manual, automated and secondary machining equipment as needed
- Meet quality standards, on time delivery, and continually improve productivity to exceed customer expectations
- Overtime will be required
- Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures
