Job Summary
Operate and set up multiple machines to perform diversified machining operations per blueprints and process specifications; read and interpret blueprints to plan setup and operation; perform precision measurements with gauges to ensure dimensions meet print specifications; manage loading/unloading of machines and, when assigned, perform surface grinding; work under close supervision and maintain a safe, orderly production area; must be capable of becoming forklift-certified; develop skills to assume more responsibility in tooling, feeds and speeds, and operation sequencing as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or general educational diploma (G.E.D.)
- Must be capable of being certified as a forklift driver
- Able to read blueprints and processes to plan setup and operation of machines
- Ability to perform diversified machining operations and use precision measuring tools
