Job Summary
Machine Operator - Brake Press: Set up and operate press brakes to bend, punch, or form metal sheets and components used in custom doors and frames. Read machining sheets, templates, and work orders to determine materials, tooling, and sequence; input programming data into the machine controller; install and change tooling; inspect finished parts for quality and conformity. Maintain safety and housekeeping in a metal shop environment; communicate status to the Shop Supervisor; and perform duties to support production goals. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of metal fabrication processes, and ability to read basic production documents are required or preferred. Cross-training and teamwork are encouraged in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Metalworking or metal fabrication experience strongly preferred
- Previous machine operation experience preferred
- Press brake operation experience strongly preferred
