Job Summary
Machine Operator role responsible for the daily operation of feed production equipment to process and manufacture products at the Mason, MI plant. Key duties include operating the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and other feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently; following warehouse and loading protocols; ensuring quality Assurance per Kent Nutrition standards for ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging; recording and documenting all produced feed; assisting with production scheduling and inventory control for ingredients and finished products; assisting with equipment maintenance and repair; loading/unloading trucks; delivering excellent customer service; promoting a strong safety culture and adhering to all safety policies; performing general facility duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience
- Ability to operate forklift
- Knowledge of cGMPs
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA
- Ability to lift minimum 55 lbs
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good communication (verbal, written, math)
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
