MACHINE OPERATOR

Job Summary
Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products; operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently; follow warehouse and loading protocols; ensure KNG’s quality assurance regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging; record and document all feed manufactured during shift; mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently with accuracy and high quality; assist management with production scheduling and inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products; assist with equipment maintenance and repair; load and unload trucks safely; provide excellent customer service; observe and enforce all company policies; maintain a strong safety culture and follow safety procedures; other duties as assigned by Plant Management; education requirements include High School diploma or GED and 1+ years manufacturing experience; ability to lift 55 lbs., operate a forklift, pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check; knowledge of cGMP, HACCP, FSMA, and OSHA safety requirements; strong teamwork, communication, and math skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ years manufacturing experience
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs.
- Ability to operate a forklift
- cGMP knowledge
- OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA
