Machine Operator - B Shift

Job Summary

Operate blow-mold, PET, and injection molding machines, including wheels and reciprocating systems, while performing bottle inspections, drop tests, and quality audits. Troubleshoot process problems, execute minor repairs on equipment, and adjust machines to meet product specifications. Monitor supply levels, replenish packaging materials, and document daily production reports covering rejects, regrinds, and line efficiencies. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, safety policies, and general manufacturing standards while maintaining a clean, organized work area. Complete mandatory Altium Production/Machine Operator training within 90 days of hire. Work a 12-hour B shift (7p–7:30a) with possible mandatory overtime. Assist with unusual problems and apply professional judgment under supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Basic computer experience
  • Blow mold experience
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Completion of Altium Production/Machine Operator training within 90 days of hire date
  • Must be able to stand

  • Must be able to operate blow-mold/PET/injection molding machines
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve process problems
  • Must adhere to quality control and to blow mold process procedure
  • Must be able to perform bottle inspections
  • Must be able to perform audits, weights and quality checks
  • Must be able to make adjustments to meet product specifications
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and perform minor repair on blow-mold and support equipment
  • Must be able to monitor supply levels of packaging materials and replenish as needed
  • Must be able to pick up dropped bottles, place into bins and if needed into grinder
  • Must be able to ensure correct labeling, bottle description and packaging of product
  • Must be able to move finished goods to designated area
  • Must be able to prepare & document daily production reports
  • Must be able to prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs
  • Must be able to receive instructions on specific job task by Lead Operator or Supervisor
  • Must be able to apply sound professional judgment
  • Must be available for reasonable mandatory overtime
