Job Summary
Machine Operator Apprentice role supporting other apprentices and foremen on construction projects. duties include following team/supervisor instructions to complete tasks efficiently, keeping the job site clean and organized, loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring attention to safety standards, and gaining essential machine operation skills to progress within the weld/fab department through an apprenticeship and comprehensive training program. The organization emphasizes safety, teamwork, integrity, and dedication, with benefits including insurance options, PTO, HSA contributions, and company-provided tools. Preferred experience includes torch cutting, blueprint reading, forklift operation, rigging, and various machine/table operations (NCCER/NCCCO certifications preferred).
Required Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with common hand tools (tape measure, power drills, levels, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Basic Math & Geometry knowledge
- 1-2 years’ experience in the commercial/industrial setting or technical schooling experience
- Ability to work effectively with all personality types
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
- Self-directed and can work independently
- Valid Driver’s License
