Job Summary

Operate and monitor robotic welding systems, automated fabrication equipment, plasma cutters, and CNC machinery to produce structural steel components. Set up machines, tooling, and robotic programs based on shop drawings and work orders, then fabricate beams and assemblies including layout, fit-up, and positioning. Load raw materials, align parts, and perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting on robotic and automated equipment. Measure components with precision tools, inspect finished parts for quality and dimensional accuracy, and interpret blueprints to ensure conformance to specifications. Identify and troubleshoot fabrication or equipment issues, document production output, and coordinate with welding and quality teams to meet daily goals. Perform other duties as assigned in a manufacturing environment with potential for extended hours or overtime.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years operating fabrication equipment
  • Experience in structural steel fabrication
  • Experience in robotic welding
  • Proficient in reading blueprints
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings
  • Proficient in using measuring tools
  • Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic English and/or Spanish
  • Ability to safely handle with an overhead crane
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (6:00am - 2:00pm), 2nd Shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm), 3rd Shift (10:00pm - 6:00am)
  • Depending on production needs, some weekends may be required
