Job Summary
Monitor embossing processes and slit rolls of film, adjusting temperature, speed, and flow rate to detect defects and maintain specifications. Operate and setup machines that apply holographic images, ensuring sufficient inventory and making required changeovers between runs. Clean equipment between shifts, handle materials using carts or forklifts, and perform quality control checks while recording production quantities per SOPs. Consult with technical staff on questionable items and cross-train on other equipment as needed. Work Monday through Friday on the 3rd shift (11pm–7am) with occasional weekend overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good judgement
- Basic Computer skills
- Willingness to learn
- Flexibility to work in other departments within ITW ShineMark, NA as assigned
- Ability to adapt to a challenging and demanding work environment
- Must be willing to work overtime, 1 to 2 weekends at least 1-2 times a month
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 65 pounds as needed
- Ability to climb, stand and walk around machines
- Ability to sit as needed
- Finger dexterity
- Ability to hear machinery, fork trucks/forklift, other employees
- Ability to talk with others
- Ability to complete a respiratory clearance exam
- Ability to use a respirator as needed
- Must agree to comply with the 100% non-smoking policy
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to operate and drive a Forklift/Fork truck
- Experience with 5S
- Ability to perform visual inspections of the product
