Job Summary
Machine Operator - 3rd Shift at Metalcraft of Mayville operates a rotational molding machine to meet plant metrics, changes out molds, transfers resin, and supports quality, safety, and productivity. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, performing mold changes with overhead cranes and rigging, assembling/dismantling molds, removing parts from molds, monitoring temperatures, and documenting production/quality logs. Requires teamwork, adherence to safety procedures, use of measurement tools, and ability to learn G/M codes. 3rd shift is Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6am, Horicon, WI with a $2 shift differential and an $1000 signing bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to complete dimensional measuring and quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.
- Ability to perform simple math and measurements.
- Ability to maintain a high attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to and including 50 lbs.
- Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, crouching, or reaching above the shoulders is required.
- Frequent use of hands and wrists on both large and small items: e.g., screws, bolts and nuts to service the molds.
- Ability to understand/apply knowledge of “G” and “M” codes and have applicable computer skills.
- Ability to focus and work at a continuous pace for extended periods of time.
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments.
- Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently.
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
- Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment preferred.
