Job Summary
Machine Operator for Plate Department on the 2nd shift (3P-11P) in Montoursville, PA. Operates one plate press and is cross trained to run a plate former; ensures products meet quality standards, maintains production workflow, and assists with Tex wrap, rework, and label machines. Responsibilities include inspecting finished products for correct registration/color, identifying defects in packaging labels, preparing inner and master cartons, labeling for identification/shipping, maintaining safety protocols, supporting packers, and ensuring consistent machine output. Requires ability to understand basic written/oral instructions, perform basic math, communicate with management and coworkers, and work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Previous machine operation experience and a high school diploma is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years manufacturing experience (external)
- Previous Machine Operation Experience Preferred
- 6 months prior experience as a packer 2; or 1 Year of Plant Employment (Internal)
- Fulfilled Operator 1 requirements within 6 months of employment – Preferred
