Job Summary
Operate and setup machines that apply emboss holographic images and slit rolls of film, adjusting temperature, speed, and flow rate while monitoring for defects. Align machine parts, thread film through rollers, and perform quality control checks on product and materials. Make required machine changeovers, load and unload materials using carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts, and clean equipment between runs. Record production quantities following SOPs and consult with technical staff on questionable items. Work Monday through Friday, 11pm to 7am, with flexibility for overtime and occasional weekend shifts. Some heavy lifting and climbing are required; a forklift license is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good judgement
- Basic Computer skills
- Willingness to learn
- Flexibility to work in other departments within ITW ShineMark, NA as assigned
- Ability to adapt to a challenging and demanding work environment
- Must be willing to work overtime, 1 to 2 weekends at least 1-2 times a month
- Must be willing to work 2nd shift (11pm - 7am)
- Monday – Friday schedule
- Ability to climb, stand and walk around machines
- Ability to sit as needed
- Finger dexterity
- Ability to hear machinery, fork trucks/forklift, other employees
- Ability to talk with others
- Ability to complete a respiratory clearance exam
- Ability to use a respirator as needed
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 65 pounds
- Must agree to comply with the 100% non-smoking policy
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with 5S
- Ability to operate and drive a Forklift/Fork truck
