Job Summary
Operate pleating machines to produce media within quality and quantity standards defined by prints and route sheets. Monitor production rates between pleaters and potting, notifying the Team Leader of variations that decrease output. Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and execute quality checks and tests as assigned. Complete all applicable paperwork including scrap reports, media usage sheets, and oil runs. Communicate effectively with material handlers to ensure correct media is supplied to the line promptly. Recognize operations, machine functions, and fixture capabilities while adhering to DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies. Work the 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate and interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to operate computer systems
- Ability to utilize gauges, calipers, indicators, scales, and tape measures
- Exhibit mechanical aptitude
- Adhere to safety procedures
- Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment
- Currently and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
- Ability to communicate effectively with material handlers
- Perform quality checks and tests
- Complete all applicable paperwork
- Monitor production online
- Perform preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment
- Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
- Using all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required
- Hours are 2nd shift, Monday thru Thursday 2:00 pm - 12:00 am
